And now the presence of police officers in new vehicles equipped with everything necessary will allow them to perform their tasks. In the summer, the inspection of tourist routes disciplines drivers and will reduce accidents on the roads. With the development of tourism in the region, it became necessary to create a tourist police in the region," said Akim of the region Yermek Kosherbayev.

135 cars of the Chevrolet Cobalt, Kia and Jac brands of domestic production were purchased as part of leasing financing from the regional budget through the Industrial Development Fund JSC.

The cars are designed for patrol and district police inspectors, as well as dog and environmental services. Some of the vehicles will go to district units, including newly created ones, where one district police inspector serves several settlements, with a length of up to 50-70 kilometers.

After the ceremony of handing over the keys, Akim of the region Ermek Kosherbayev and the head of the DP of East Kazakhstan region, Police Major General Yerlan Omarbekov, inspected the new transport and got acquainted with the technical characteristics.

At the end of the garrison separation, the head of the regional police addressed the personnel:

- "Protection of public order, crime prevention and prevention of violations of traffic rules are our main tasks. The police autopark has not been updated since 2017. And I express my gratitude to the governor of the region and all the staff for the work done in the past year," Yerlan Omarbekov said.

Already on New Year's Eve, new vehicles will patrol the streets of the regional center.
