As part of a working visit to the Karaganda region, the Head of State got acquainted with the work of the QazTehna enterprise for the production of buses and special equipment.
During the visit, the President was informed about the first results of the plant's work.
Since 2021, 347 buses and electric buses for passenger transportation have been produced here. As part of the public transport network modernization program, it is planned to supply more than 700 buses and electric buses to the regions by the end of the year. 208 of them will be sent to educational organizations in nine regions of the country.
The plant cooperates with the global passenger transport manufacturer Yutong. As part of the partnership, the company will gradually provide QazTehna with the necessary technologies. Currently, 33 percent of bus parts are made from local materials. In the next five years, the level of localization is planned to be increased to 50 percent.
Currently, the plant employs 560 people. Most of the workforce are residents of the city of Saran.
