The project is being implemented within the framework of the Concept for the Development of the Transport and Logistics Potential of Kazakhstan until 2030 and with the financial support of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and the Industrial Development Fund JSC.

Recall that in July 2022, at a meeting on the development of transport and transit potential, the Head of State instructed to take measures to strengthen the railway fleet and overhaul the tracks, with an emphasis on the development of domestic railway engineering.

Today, the physical deterioration of the railway infrastructure and rolling stock is more than 57%, and the service life exceeds 30 years. By 2030, about 14,000 wagons are expected to be decommissioned, and in this regard, it is important to systematically renew the fleet. The new half carrige will make it possible to upgrade the company's semi railway carriages fleet by 10%.

Freight gondola cars, which will be purchased by Kaztemirtrans within the framework of the project, will be used for the transportation of goods in international and domestic directions, including for the transportation of socially significant goods.
