Kazakhstan's tire factory in Saran (Karaganda region) is preparing for serial production of car tires. The factory will be the only tire production facility in Kazakhstan. The company was created in partnership of foreign investors and Kazakhstani company AllurTyres.
The area of the production site is 10.6 hectares. Currently, the plant is in the process of installation and commissioning of high-tech, automated equipment of advanced manufacturers of the tire industry. The work will reach the stage of completion by the end of 2023, which will allow to start the stage of serial production in 2024. It will produce 3.5 million passenger car and truck tires per year.
"The factory has a huge area, so, it will produce tires not only for passenger cars, but also semi-light and truck tires. There are equipment from Italy, Portugal, Japan, Slovakia and China. Now we are bringing production up to automation to reach production capacity," said Nurzhan Arystanbek, the factory's leading production engineer.
Also, more than 500 employees underwent paid training and internships at tire companies abroad. From six to nine months they mastered new skills and strengthened existing knowledge.
The future tire workers mastered professions in various specialties under the guidance of experienced mentors. One of them is Yerlan Abdrakhmanov, foreman of the equipment maintenance shop, who was one of the first to get a job at the tire factory in Saran.
"My job is to make sure that all the equipment is functioning and working. We can say that the work of the factory directly depends on us. All the products will be manufactured in the latest equipment, hence the quality will be at the highest level. Even we during our training in a foreign factory practiced on older models of equipment.
At the first stage we plan to produce 3.5 million tire products per year, of which three million are passenger cars and 500 thousand are trucks. However, the factory is built in such a way that we can increase production volumes in the future," shared Yerlan Abdrakhmanov.
Upon completion of all the setup stages, the tire production process will include a full cycle of tire production: preparation of raw materials, production of rubber compounds, components, tire assembly, their vulcanization and quality control of finished products.
The unique technologies and equipment at the production facility are characterized by a high level of automation, energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact.
In addition to training and employment of residents of the region, the emergence of the new factory has a positive effect for the whole country. Thus, high quality products of the Saran tire factory will become available to Kazakhstanis and will be able to meet the needs of both the automotive industry and motorists.
