In Kokshetau, as part of the celebration of the Day of the Republic, 15 buses were handed over to schools in the Akmola region. The keys to the new transport were handed over by the head of the region, Yermek Marzhikpayev, reports a BaigeNews.kz correspondent.
"The new vehicles meet all modern safety requirements. Thanks to this technique, today we are solving the problem of safe transportation of students from rural schools not only to schools, but also to all kinds of additional educational organizations," Akim of Akmola region noted during the solemn ceremony.
The purchase of buses for the Akmola region under the leasing program is financed by the Industrial Development Fund JSC.
Yermek Marzhipaev spoke about the ongoing work on the purchase of new special transport for schools. Thus, over the past three years, local authorities have purchased 70 units of school buses, which has made it possible to renew the fleet by 40 percent. This year alone, a batch of 65 new buses is being leased for secondary educational institutions at once, their total cost is 2.6 billion tenge. Recall that on the eve of the new academic year, schools have already received 15 units of comfortable, modern vehicles.
"Thanks to the buses, pupils of rural schools will have the opportunity to participate in many sports competitions, scientific competitions and all cultural events in the region," the head of the region added.
By the way, transportation in the region is organized for more than 8 thousand students.
Recall that in the current academic year, more than 132 thousand students study in the schools of the Akmola region, of which almost 15 thousand are first-graders.
