Special project: Industrial Development Fund JSC supported the manufacturing of solid-rolled railway wheels at the Prommashkomplekt LLP plant

With the support of Industrial Development Fund, in the industrial zone of the city of Ekibastuz a project has been implemented to expand and modernize production facilities at the Prommashkomplekt LLP plant specializing in the production of solid-rolled railway wheels. 

The company has its own industrial base, open guarded storage areas for products, closed storage boxes, and also has its own security department. 

The plant itself consists of two main areas: the cold part, which includes the procurement section, a full-profile wheel processing line, a non-destructive testing line with shot processing, a rolling mill, a sorting and delivery site for finished products, and the hot part, which includes an annular furnace, a press-rolling section and a wheel heat treatment line. 

The range of products produced by the plant includes more than 400 types of railway wheels for freight, passenger cars and locomotives, as well as wheels for subway cars and special wheels manufactured according to individual customer request. 

The plant has the most modern equipment of the world's leading manufacturers, using automated technological processes for manufacturing high-quality products, which has no analogues in the CIS and Asia. 

As part of the financing program of the Industrial Development Fund JSC, high-tech and innovative Swiss-made equipment with a capacity of 100,000 wheels per year was purchased for the plant. 

Today, the plant employs about 800 employees, and the production capacity of the plant has been increased to 300,000 wheels per year due to the support of the Industrial Development Fund. All manufactured products meet international standards, which is confirmed by relevant certificates. 

The production process of railway wheels at the plant is automated, all the parameters of turning a piece of steel into a wheel can be monitored online, due to an integrated automation system that allows you to improve production technology. 

The capacities of the Prommashkomplekt plant are aimed at meeting the growing needs of railway engineering and increasing the competitiveness of new export-oriented, high-tech domestic manufacturers. 

Government support measures implemented through the Industrial Development Fund allowed the Prommashkomplekt LLP plant to take one of the leading positions in Central Asia, implement an import substitution policy and ensure domestic market demand for railway products.
