Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s working visit to Kostanay region began with a visit to the KamLitKZ iron foundry, located in the industrial zone.
The President was introduced to the production of automotive components for heavy-duty vehicles. According to the General Director, Dmitry Gurtovoy, the plant has a capacity of 45,000 tons of castings per year. The implementation of the project, which cost 78.2 billion tenge, has created 500 jobs.
It was reported to the President that the project is being carried out by a team of Kazakhstani engineers and technologists, with the involvement of experts from renowned international engineering firms, as well as European machine builders. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was shown the process of melting and pouring iron into casting molds, as well as the processing of the finished products.
The plant meets all modern requirements, with a high level of automation and energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact. The production is equipped with 30 robots in the most complex and demanding technological areas.
The Head of State praised the enterprise's use of advanced technology and then spoke with young engineers.

This enterprise employs many young people. We will certainly support workers, especially young people who work in both large and small enterprises. We have working dynasties with labor experience exceeding a hundred, two hundred, and even more years. These are the families and dynasties that we will support. You, the young people, are just starting your journey. I am confident that you will make a significant contribution to the development of our state. I wish you all success" - said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President, after autographing a freshly produced cylinder block, thanked the workers for their active participation in the development of Kazakhstan's machine-building cluster.
Subsequently, the Akim of the Kostanay region presented information on attracting investments to the region. In particular, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on new projects in the industrial sector, the agro-industrial complex, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, and logistics.
According to Kumar Aksakalov, with the implementation of the planned initiatives, the Gross Regional Product will double, and annual budget revenues will increase by 75 billion tenge. The average salary will rise by 1.5 times, and about 20,000 new jobs will be created.
