Within the framework of the Sanitary Transport Renewal Program and using the mechanism of leasing financing of the Industrial Development Fund JSC, the Virage group of companies launched the production of ambulances of the Russian brand.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the issue of replenishing the medical vehicle fleet is especially relevant, therefore, the renewal of sanitary vehicles continues in Kazakhstan. Recently, 34 UAZ ambulances based on the Profi class C model were handed over to medical institutions from the regions. These reanimobiles were first presented by the Virage group of companies.

Ambulances based on UAZ Profi, assembled at the facilities of the Kostanay plant, are intended for resuscitation, transportation and monitoring of the condition of seriously ill patients at the pre-hospital stage. Cars have a number of advantages over competitors. Firstly, these are all-wheel drive resuscitation vehicles, which are equipped with a 2.7-liter gasoline engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. They can work not only in urban conditions, but also in hard-to-reach regions. Secondly, a distinctive feature of the new UAZ ambulances is the installation of a modular medical unit with external fiberglass panels on the chassis, which ensures optimal ergonomics of the cabin for doctors. The compartment for doctors is spacious and light enough to allow mobile teams to carry out resuscitation measures. The module has thermal and noise insulation, which increases the quality and comfort of transporting patients and medical teams. Similar cars are already operating in medical institutions in a number of CIS countries. This model is unique for Kazakhstan.

“Renewal of the medical vehicle fleet is important and timely today, because in the context of the pandemic, the demand for emergency care has increased significantly. Replenishment with new all-wheel drive resuscitation vehicles UAZ Profi is a significant strengthening of ambulance stations. This model is presented for the first time on our market, and its main difference lies in its high cross-country ability, which will allow doctors to get even to the most remote areas and provide timely assistance to patients. The presence of a spacious medical salon and special modern equipment will allow doctors to carry out resuscitation measures on the way. We hope that over time, UAZ Profi reanimobiles will gain recognition and will be used more on our roads, ”said Yermek Eskergenov, General Director of Virage Group of Companies.

Indeed, the new "ambulance" UAZ on the basis of Profi are fully equipped to carry out operational resuscitation actions.

The equipment includes a trolley with a removable stretcher, a biphasic defibrillator-monitor with a built-in printer and a transport resuscitation and anesthesia monitor, as well as artificial lung ventilation devices and other medical equipment that will allow providing assistance during transportation, necessary for the work of the resuscitation team.

The delivery of new reanimation vehicles assembled in Kazakhstan was carried out within the framework of the Roadmap program for the renewal of sanitary transport, which was launched in 2019 by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan. The program for the renovation of sanitary vehicles has a social effect, it not only ensures the preservation of jobs and support for the domestic auto industry, but also aims to improve the quality of life of Kazakhstanis. UAZ Profi vehicles are full participants in this program, which allows them to be purchased through the mechanism of leasing financing of the Industrial Development Fund JSC.
