The head of state received the Chairman of the Board of JSC National Management Holding Baiterek Nurlan Baybazarov

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the results of the holding’s activities for 9 months of 2023, including work to support entrepreneurship and the agricultural sector, as well as providing housing to the population.

According to the data presented to the President, the volume of financing of investment projects amounted to 511 billion tenge, 18.1 thousand small and medium-sized business projects were supported for a total loan amount of about 1 trillion tenge. Financial support for the agricultural sector amounted to 447 billion tenge. Based on the results of 9 months of this year, 811.2 thousand sq.m. were commissioned. housing, about 47 thousand families received new housing.

The head of state was also informed about the measures being taken to transform and digitalize the holding. Within two years, Baiterek will double the amount of support for the non-resource sector of the economy. Work will be intensified to attract investment and involve commercial banks in lending to manufacturing industry projects.

In order to saturate the domestic market and increase the export potential of the agricultural sector, programs for financing food industry projects will be launched, and a full-fledged export credit agency will be created.

As part of the execution of the President’s instructions, the housing direction of the holding will be transformed taking into account the need to provide housing for residents of single-industry towns, regional centers and villages.

Nurlan Baybazarov said that it is planned to transfer all services of the holding’s subsidiaries to a digital format.

Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of introducing new approaches to support economic growth and improve the quality of life of citizens, and also set a number of tasks to improve the activities of the Baiterek holding.
