President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's working visit to the Kostanay region continued with a tour of the Localization Center of AgromashHolding KZ JSC.

The President was briefed on the activities of the enterprise, which was established for the production of wheeled self-propelled agricultural machinery and components for the mechanical engineering industry in general. Currently, 700 employees are producing 250,000 units and components annually. Since the beginning of the year, the plant has manufactured about 1,000 tractors and 300 combines.

The President was informed that the Localization Center received an order to manufacture a range of components for CLAAS tractors and combines. Furthermore, a contract with the global manufacturer of mounted and trailed machinery, AMAZONE, is set to be signed in the coming days. This year, the assembly of seeding complexes and sprayers will commence at the plant.

The President was also informed that the center has begun cooperating with KIA to produce equipment for components of a new plant scheduled to launch in 2025.

Later, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with representatives of the workforce. The factory workers expressed that they listened to the President's Address to the Nation of Kazakhstan with particular pride, noting that the prestige of working professions is expected to rise significantly.

In his conversation with the center's workers, the Head of State emphasized the need to increase production localization, train qualified personnel, and update agricultural machinery.

" - The wear and tear of equipment across the country is very high. Some experts estimate it to be up to 80%. It is time to renew the entire fleet with equipment produced in Kazakhstan at a high level of localization. We are pleased that young people, trained in colleges for these professions, are now coming into production"- Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

In turn, the factory workers, on behalf of all mechanical engineers, thanked the President for his support of the working professions.
