The contract for the supply of domestic buses to Shymkent was signed at the end of last year between "SPK Shymkent" JSC, the national car manufacturer "SaryarkaAvtoProm" LLP and "DBK-Leasing" JSC.
Now 1151 buses are daily going to the routes of the metropolis. Most of them have been running on the city roads for more than 7 years. This year the fleet will be supplied with 300 new Ankai-branded buses manufactured in Kazakhstan, which will be produced at the "SaryarkaAutoProm" LLP plant in Kostanai.
The buses are specially equipped with ramps for transporting people with disabilities and children in wheelchairs, meet all technical standards and modern requirements for vehicles, including anti-corrosion treatment of the body with cataphoresis. Total passenger capacity is 56 people, length 8.5 m. Additional comfort and safety are provided by air-conditioning systems, video surveillance systems, as well as a video notification system for passengers in the cabin. Under the terms of the program, the financing rate for transport is 7% per annum.
