The waste processing complex located in Zhanakorgan district of Kyzylorda region underwent comprehensive modernization with financial support from Industrial Development Fund JSC and Zhasyl Damu JSC. In the implementation of this environmental project, the purchase of high-tech equipment meeting international standards in this field was supported at a preferential rate of 3% per annum for a term of 15 years.
Previously, Kom Khoz Zhanakorgan LLP only performed waste sorting. The technical re-equipment will allow the enterprise to begin comprehensive processing of municipal solid waste (MSW), including waste paper, plastic, broken glass, textiles, aluminum and polymer products, packaging for various purposes, and substandard construction materials. Thus, initially disposed materials will be suitable for further use in industrial purposes.
The production capacity of the waste processing complex is 20,000 tons of municipal solid waste per year. As a result, approximately 1,100 tons of recyclable materials will be produced annually, which can be further used for industrial purposes. Consequently, this enterprise will become an important element of the environmental infrastructure of the Kyzylorda region.

The implementation of this project with the support of the Industrial Development Fund is designed to make a significant contribution to reducing the environmental burden and emissions into the environment through an organized technological chain for sorting, processing, storage, and sale of secondary useful materials for reuse in production.
The environmental effect of operating this complex will be expressed in a significant reduction of landfilled waste, which will substantially reduce the burden on existing landfills, fully cover the region's need for MSW processing, and also lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (CO₂).
The modernization of the waste processing complex with financial support from Industrial Development Fund JSC will result in an increase in jobs from 5 to 25 people.

Let us recall that since 2024, within the framework of the Concept for the Transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a "Green Economy," Industrial Development Fund JSC, together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Zhasyl Damu JSC, has been implementing a program to support enterprises engaged in the sorting, processing, and disposal of municipal solid waste, aimed at strengthening the environmental balance.
It should be noted that the environmental ESG agenda is one of the fundamental priorities of Industrial Development Fund JSC, which pays particular attention to supporting "green" investment projects.
In 2025, the international rating agency Sustainable Fitch raised the aggregate score of the Industrial Development Fund from 63 to 66 points and confirmed the ESG rating at level "2". This is one of the highest ratings assigned to structures of the country's financial sector. As is known, the ESG agenda covers, first and foremost, environmental and social factors.
