On 13 August 2025, a ceremonial handover of 113 service vehicles to the Veterinary Department of East Kazakhstan Region took place in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk with financial support from Industrial Development Fund JSC.
The event was attended by Akim of East Kazakhstan Region Nurymbet Saktaganov, the leadership of the regional Veterinary Department, and representatives of sectoral government bodies.
The Department’s fleet was replenished with domestically manufactured vehicles of the JAC, Chevrolet Cobalt and GAZ brands. By October of this year, with financial support from Industrial Development Fund JSC, the institution will receive an additional 19 similar vehicles.
High-mobility JAC T6 pickup trucks will enable specialists to reach destinations across the mountainous terrain characteristic of East Kazakhstan Region. JAC N56 vans and GAZ refrigerated trucks are intended for transporting equipment and veterinary medicines, while Chevrolet Cobalt passenger cars are necessary for veterinarians to move promptly across districts and rural areas to carry out regulatory procedures and vaccinate livestock.
It should be noted that the significant increase in service vehicles for veterinarians will have a positive long-term effect on strengthening the region’s food security by ensuring stable access to high-quality meat and dairy products.
As is known, the veterinary service performs a crucial function in preventing and controlling various diseases among farm animals, and for effective work specialists require appropriate transport to cover long distances to remote settlements throughout the region.
Such substantial replenishment and renewal of the veterinary fleet will be an important factor in improving the quality of these services and the mobility of specialists, especially given that East Kazakhstan Region is Kazakhstan’s fourth-largest region, covering an area of more than 97,000 square kilometers.
