On 19 November 2025, the Committee on Agrarian Issues, Environmental Management and Development of Rural Territories of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a working meeting with representatives of relevant government agencies and development institutions. The main topic of discussion was climate-related projects aimed at sustainable development, reducing the carbon footprint and improving the environmental situation in the country.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Senate Committee Ali Bektaev, senators — members of the Committee, Deputy Chairman of Industrial Development Fund JSC Azat Abaydildin, Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhomart Aliyev, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the management of Zhasyl Damu JSC.

Azat Abaydildin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Industrial Development Fund JSC, informed the participants about the Fund’s activities related to comprehensive support for environmental projects, their effectiveness, and prospective plans for the development of “green” infrastructure. The speaker placed particular emphasis on priority projects aimed at maintaining environmental balance, including financing waste recycling complexes in the regions, renewing the fleet of municipal waste collection vehicles, and supporting enterprises that use environmentally friendly technologies in production. In addition, with the Fund’s financial support, a systemic renewal of motor vehicles of government agencies, including those implementing sectoral environmental programs, is being carried out.
It should be noted that in 2025 the international rating agency Sustainable Fitch affirmed the Industrial Development Fund’s ESG rating at level “2” and increased its overall score from 63 to 66.
