A new knitwear production factory has been launched in Shymkent, located within the Special Economic Zone "Ontustik", with financial backing from Industrial Development Fund JSC. The Fund financed the construction of the factory building and the acquisition of modern sewing equipment as part of this investment project.

It is important to note that the new facility, opened in the third-largest city in Kazakhstan, is highly technological, utilizing automated machinery that meets international textile industry standards.

The production line employs an automated industrial process for manufacturing hosiery on single-cylinder circular knitting machines. These machines directly knit socks, output the products, and transport them to storage containers. The goods are then moved to the preparation area and subsequently to the shaping and packaging workshop. Here, socks are steamed and shaped into different sizes, ranging from 36 to 42, using automated equipment. After shaping, the socks are automatically labeled, packaged, and transported to warehouses.

The production capacity of Balabi Textile LLP is 50 million pairs of socks annually. According to statistics, the annual demand for such textile products in Kazakhstan exceeds 189 million pairs of socks, with an average growth rate of 3.6% per year.

The factory plans to supply its products to the domestic market as well as export to neighboring countries.

A key factor in choosing the location of the new enterprise is the constant availability of raw materials—cotton, which is traditionally grown in the southern regions of the country.

Thanks to the establishment of the knitwear production factory with the financial support of Industrial Development Fund JSC, 368 new jobs will be created, and tax revenues to the budget will be increased.
