A Small Industrial Zone Launched in Turkistan Region with the Financial Support of Industrial Development Fund JSC

08.07.2025

A new small industrial zone has been commissioned in the Sauran district of the Turkistan Region with the financial support of Industrial Development Fund JSC. The zone is intended to provide essential infrastructure for new production facilities and to increase the capacity of existing industrial enterprises.

The zone, located on the territory of the SPK "Turkistan", is designed to offer ready-to-use production spaces for small and medium-sized businesses. With the support of the Fund, additional conditions are being created to foster the development of domestic manufacturers.

The small industrial zone in the Turkistan Region comprises 17 modern industrial buildings with a total area of 27,000 sq.m, situated on more than 8 hectares. These spacious premises will house various industries operating in economic clusters ranging from textile production to building materials.

One of the key challenges for new manufacturers is securing or leasing appropriate production facilities. The initiative of the Industrial Development Fund directly addresses this issue, offering practical solutions for Kazakhstani industrial startups and existing enterprises seeking to expand.

A significant advantage of this new zone is access for domestic entrepreneurs to production spaces at prices well below market rates, serving as an additional incentive to conduct business.

Overall, the creation of small industrial zones with the financial support of Industrial Development Fund JSC is aimed at achieving several strategic objectives:

  • Providing infrastructure support for entrepreneurs — establishing convenient, ready-to-use production bases for SMEs. This helps reduce startup costs and allows businesses to focus on scaling production;
  • Developing competitive production capacity — small industrial zones will support not only existing enterprises but also foster the creation of new ones;
  • Ensuring local employment — the growth of SMEs in these zones will lead to the creation of new jobs.

Furthermore, the development of small industrial zones will help strengthen the national economy by increasing the share of SMEs, boosting tax revenues, and generating long-term multiplier effects.
