Automotive gas compression station commissioned in Turkestan with financial support from Industrial Development Fund JSC

13.03.2026

On March 12, 2026, a new gas filling compressor station for vehicles of all classes was commissioned in the regional center of the Turkestan region with the financial support of the Industrial Development Fund JSC. The opening ceremony of the environmentally oriented facility was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Fund Azat Abaidildin, First Deputy Akim of the Turkestan Region Zulfukhar Zholdasov, Akim of the city of Turkestan Azimbek Pazylbekuly, and Founder of Compressor Stations 3 LLP Bolat Bushanov.

As part of the project implementation, the Industrial Development Fund JSC provided financing for a period of 7 years at an annual interest rate of 12.6%.

The designed capacity of the facility is up to 2,400 cubic meters per hour, which allows refueling approximately 250 vehicles per day.

This station is the first within the framework of this project; in total, by the end of the current year, it is planned to build a network of 24 similar modern facilities across the country, providing transport with environmentally friendly fuel.

The creation of a network of gas compression stations will create a positive effect for preserving the environmental balance, will contribute to the development of gas-powered transport, strengthening the logistics and tourism potential of the region, and will make a significant contribution to reducing harmful emissions into the environment.

- The commissioning of this facility is part of a large-scale project to create a network of automotive gas stations along the international transport corridor 'Western Europe – Western China.' The implementation of these projects will make it possible to form modern infrastructure for the use of natural gas on one of the key transit routes of Eurasia, and is also an important step towards the introduction of environmentally friendly types of fuel and the formation of a more environmentally friendly energy system. This is a clear example of how, with state support, the mission to support industrial and infrastructure initiatives that create long-term economic value and increase the resilience of the country's economy is consistently being implemented, - noted Azat Abaydildin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Industrial Development Fund JSC.

The gas compression station in Turkestan is located along the Samara-Shymkent highway; the main consumers of this refueling complex will be transit freight and passenger transport.

Gas supply to the station will be carried out directly from the main gas pipeline, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of raw materials. In this regard, the commissioning of a network of gas compressor stations in the foreseeable future will have a positive impact on strengthening food security due to the low cost of automotive fuel and, consequently, the reduction of logistics costs for product transportation.

The commissioning of the new automotive gas compression station in Turkestan with financial support from Industrial Development Fund JSC will result in the creation of more than 20 new jobs and an increase in tax revenues to the budget.

It should be noted that the environmental ESG agenda is one of the fundamental priorities of the Fund, which pays particular attention to supporting "green" projects.

Let us recall that in 2025, the international rating agency Sustainable Fitch raised the aggregate score of the Industrial Development Fund from 63 to 66 points and confirmed the ESG rating at level "2".
