In his address to the people, "Fair Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, Public Optimism", the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, outlined important priorities for the development of aviation infrastructure today.

According to the Head of State, one of the key tasks is the development of air hubs. Currently, Kazakhstan handles approximately 150,000 tons of air cargo annually, and this figure needs to be doubled within the next four years.

The President emphasized the need to create all the necessary conditions to expand the capacity of airports for cargo transportation. The development of domestic air routes, particularly regarding infrastructure at major tourist destinations, will also be a crucial area of focus.

“The modernization of runways in the resort areas of Balkhash and Alakol has already been completed. In the near future, we must unlock the potential of other resort areas, such as Katon-Karagai, Zaisan, and Kendirli. In these regions, plans include the construction of terminal complexes and airports, as well as the improvement of road infrastructure. To support this process, it is necessary to use funds from the Industrial Development Fund to acquire small aviation aircraft”, said the Head of State.
