A financial leasing agreement was signed between Industrial Development Fund JSC and Eco-Dump LLP aimed at creating waste sorting and processing complexes in the city of Kokshetau, as well as in Zerendi and Burabay districts of Akmola region.
In the implementation of this environmental project, the purchase of high-tech equipment meeting international standards in this field was supported at a preferential rate of 3% per annum for a term of 12 years.
The activities of these complexes will be aimed at comprehensive sorting and processing of municipal solid waste (MSW), including waste paper, rubber, plastic, broken glass, metal and polymer products, packaging for various purposes, and substandard construction materials.
The design capacity of the 3 waste processing complexes in total will be 150,000 tons of MSW per year, as a result of which approximately 77,300 tons of secondary raw materials will be produced annually, which will be applicable for further use in industrial purposes, as a result this enterprise will become the most important element of the environmental infrastructure of the Akmola region.

The implementation of this project with the support of the Industrial Development Fund is designed to make a significant contribution to reducing the environmental burden and emissions into the environment through an organized technological chain for sorting, processing, storage, and sale of secondary useful materials for reuse in production.
The environmental effect of operating this complex will be expressed in a significant reduction of landfilled waste, which will substantially reduce the burden on existing landfills, fully cover the region's need for MSW processing, and also lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (CO₂).
The construction of waste processing complexes with financial support from Industrial Development Fund JSC will result in the creation of 180 new jobs.
Let us recall that since 2024, within the framework of the Concept for the Transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a "Green Economy," Industrial Development Fund JSC, together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Zhasyl Damu JSC, has been implementing a program to support enterprises engaged in the sorting, processing, and disposal of municipal solid waste, aimed at strengthening the environmental balance.
During the period of this program, the Fund supported the creation and comprehensive modernization of 26 waste processing enterprises across the country, whose activities are aimed at preserving the environmental balance.
