Industrial Development Fund JSC has approved financing for the construction of software and hardware complexes for the early detection of forest fires. These high-tech systems, aimed at maintaining fire safety of forest resources and protecting the environment, will be deployed in a number of fire-prone regions of the country.
This project to strengthen environmental protection measures will be implemented with the support of Industrial Development Fund JSC, Zhasyl Damu JSC and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The installation of high-precision software and hardware complexes will involve advanced technologies that comply with international standards in this field, with Kazakhtelecom JSC acting as the supplier.
The high-tech systems will conduct continuous monitoring of forest conditions and promptly detect potential fire outbreaks. The introduction of these software and hardware systems is intended to prevent damage from forest and steppe fires and to protect nature from fire.
Commissioning of these high-precision fire prevention systems for forest conservation is planned by the end of 2025.
It is worth noting that the environmental ESG agenda is one of the key priorities of Industrial Development Fund JSC. The Fund places special emphasis on supporting “green” investment projects that contribute to strengthening environmental balance.
As a reminder, in 2024 the international rating agency Sustainable Fitch assigned the Industrial Development Fund an ESG rating of "2" with an overall score of 63. This is one of the highest scores assigned to financial sector institutions in the country. As is well known, the ESG agenda primarily covers environmental and social factors.
