Within the framework of systematic work to strengthen cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank, from December 8 to 12, 2025, the second visit of the Islamic Development Bank Mission to the Republic of Kazakhstan took place, during which meetings were held with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Industrial Development Fund.
At Industrial Development Fund JSC, detailed negotiations were held on attracting long-term financing from the Islamic Development Bank for the construction of infrastructure for special economic and industrial zones.
During the meeting, issues of readiness for the implementation of these projects according to stages were considered, the Fund's representatives presented the General Feasibility Study, and participants discussed in detail the project financing instruments and mechanisms of interaction between the Islamic Development Bank, the Industrial Development Fund, and authorized government agencies.
Representatives of the Islamic Development Bank Headquarters expressed full readiness for the progressive implementation of investment projects in close cooperation with Industrial Development Fund JSC.
During the negotiations, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of this direction and the role of the Industrial Development Fund as the main financial operator in the construction of infrastructure for special economic and industrial zones in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
