Industrial Development Fund JSC invests in waste recycling projects

With the support of Industrial Development Fund JSC, a ceremony was held in the Ili district of the Almaty region to lay the foundation of a plant for processing solid household waste, wide materials, reinforced concrete products, and generating electricity through waste incineration.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Concept for the Transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a "green economy" and provides for the sorting of 120,000 tons of municipal solid waste, the sorting of 120,000 tons of bulky waste, as well as the processing of 80,000 tons of organic waste per year. 

The project's implementation will significantly improve the region's environmental and economic situation, increase the country's municipal waste processing capacity to 2.2 million tons per year, and create 70 new jobs.

The Fund supports projects aimed at sustainable development by investing in innovative technologies and infrastructure that contribute to reducing carbon traces and improve the quality of life of the population.

Conditions for financing environmental projects:

  • the term of lease financing - from 3 to 15 years;
  • the currency of financing - tenge;
  • the Lessee's own participation – at least 20% of the project cost, of which at least 10% is cash;
  • the interest rate - 3% per annum.
