
As part of the ongoing cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), from November 3 to 7, 2025, the first Mission of the Islamic Development Bank visited the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the visit, meetings were held with authorized government bodies to discuss the development of infrastructure for special economic and industrial zones.
Within the framework of the Mission, meetings were organized with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee of Internal State Audit, the national company KazakhInvest, and the Kazakhstan Center for Industry and Export QazIndustry.

Following the Mission on November 7, 2025, at the premises of Industrial Development Fund JSC, chaired by Nurlan Baibazarov, Head of the Investment and Trade Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and with the participation of the Ministries of Industry and Construction, Finance, and National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, negotiations were held on attracting concessional long-term financing from the Islamic Development Bank for the construction of infrastructure in special economic and industrial zones.
The negotiations particularly highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative and underscored the role of the Industrial Development Fund as the key financial operator in implementing projects for the development of infrastructure in special economic and industrial zones across the Republic of Kazakhstan.
