Industrial Development Fund supported “Onai!” electronic payment system

With the support of Industrial Development Fund JSC, a project has been implemented to integrate “Onai!” electronic fare payment system.

The project is aimed at the implementation of electronic ticketing and the construction of an automated fare accounting system (hereinafter - AFAS) in public transport in the cities of Karaganda and Almaty.

To date, 1.6 million active users of the "Onai!" card, who make more than 2 million transactions daily have been registered in the system. The system itself complies with international standards and environmental requirements, which is confirmed by certificates and equipment permits.

The integration of the project will contribute to improving the quality of public transport, minimizing the driver's participation in the payment acceptance process, and will also allow building an optimal transport route network, which will affect the effective use of vehicles by reducing congestion on urban roads.
