Entrepreneurs are offered preferential financial support. To implement a pool of major import-substituting investment projects in the manufacturing industry - mechanical engineering, chemical industry, metallurgy, light industry and building materials production - the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development will launch a state business incentive program this summer, which provides for preferential financing measures, infrastructure development and human resources.

This was announced at a briefing in the CCS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the head of the department Kairbek Uskenbaev. In particular, it is expected that the interest rate for SME projects in the manufacturing industry will be from 3 to 7%. To receive preferential financial support, you must be an SME, in addition, the project must correspond to priority areas (it must be related to the processing industry).

The program will be launched in mid-summer. Upon completion of all procedures, additional, more disclosed information will be published in the media. “Dear business associations, as well as representatives of the business community, if your project meets the specified main criteria, please contact the direct contractors at the specified contacts. We are ready to consider and work out all issues within our competence,” the minister said.

Kairbek Uskenbayev also added that the implementation of 131 key projects at the first stage will attract investments in the amount of 5.6 trillion tenge, of which only 1.3 trillion will be allocated as part of budget lending. Also, the ministry will take measures to ensure inter-industry cooperation within the country and the development of world-class suppliers.

At the same time, as part of the support measures provided, such reciprocal obligations for business will be introduced, such as: increasing the wages of workers and creating belts of small and medium-sized enterprises included in the production chain around the financed factories.
