Karkaraly State National Nature Park has received 8 modern domestically produced HOWO fire trucks with financial support from Industrial Development Fund JSC and Zhasyl Damu JSC.
These mobile, high-tech special-purpose vehicles will enhance wildfire protection of the forest fund and help safeguard nature from fire.
The vehicles were developed based on the technical specifications provided by the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and are designed to operate in the most challenging weather and terrain conditions. In addition, the trucks comply with the EURO-5 environmental standard, making them more eco-friendly.
The fire trucks are equipped with large-capacity tanks and a full set of equipment required for firefighting. Each vehicle also features a body and wheel arch irrigation system, enabling the trucks to extinguish fires while in motion, thus increasing the effectiveness of wildfire suppression. The enhanced off-road capability of the vehicles allows access to the most remote forest areas.
This fleet upgrade and expansion is aimed at ensuring prompt response to fires, preventing their spread, and preserving the unique nature of the national park.
In addition, with the support of Industrial Development Fund JSC, and in cooperation with Zhasyl Damu JSC and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an early fire detection system will be implemented this year in Karkaraly Nature Park and several other regions of the country. The installation of high-precision hardware and software systems will employ advanced technologies in line with international standards, with Kazakhtelecom JSC serving as the system integrator.
This advanced system, consisting of tower structures equipped with video surveillance cameras, will provide continuous monitoring of forest conditions and enable rapid detection of potential fire outbreaks. The implementation of these systems is aimed at enabling quick response and containment of fires at the earliest stage.
Karkaraly State National Nature Park is among the specially protected natural areas of Kazakhstan. The park spans over 112,000 hectares and is notable for its rich biodiversity, including plant species listed in the Red Book.
