Industrial Development Fund JSC supported the domestic manufacturer Rahat-Shymkent LLP in acquiring new, modern equipment for the production of confectionery products. Financial leasing was provided for a period of five years.
A technological line for the production of wafer products that meets high international standards in the food industry was supplied to the confectionery factory located in the city of Shymkent. At the same time, the previous electric ovens were replaced with gas-powered ones, which will significantly reduce the company’s fuel and energy costs.
With the delivery of new equipment supported by the Fund, the factory’s production capacity will increase by more than 20%, from 660 kg per hour to 800 kg per hour.
The production history of Rahat-Shymkent LLP dates back to 2001, when the manufacturing of sweets was launched and the first batch of finished products was shipped. Over nearly a quarter of a century, the domestic enterprise has increased its output sixfold-from 3.5 thousand to 21 thousand tons per year.
Today, the wide product range of Rahat-Shymkent LLP includes various confectionery items such as waffles, cookies, caramel, marshmallows, marmalade, and other types of products. In 2024 alone, Rahat-Shymkent LLP produced around 21,000 tons of confectionery products. The factory supplies its sweets to all regions of the country. Currently, the company employs 776 people.
