The Industrial Development Fund was created on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Kemelevich Tokayev dated May 11, 2020 with the aim of developing the industrial potential of the national economy and the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the creation of the Industrial Development Fund."
On December 27, 2021, the Law "On Industrial Policy" was adopted, which enshrined the goals, objectives and mandate of the Fund.
In 2022, in addition to leasing, Fund's financing tools were expanded and supplemented with lending.
In 2023, the Fund's project portfolio reached 1 trillion tenge and continues to grow.
The international rating agency Moody's Investors Service has increased the long-term ratings of the issuer of the Industrial Development Fund JSC with a "positive" outlook.
The Fund is a financial institution, whose activities are aimed at supporting domestic enterprises, as well as the development of the manufacturing industry, by financing projects that have a socio-economic effect and aimed at creating new jobs, increasing the production of export-oriented products, attracting external and internal investments in the country's economy.
Over the entire period of work, the Fund financed more than 1,500 projects and transactions, while investments were attracted to Fund’s projects in the amount of 1.7 trillion tenge.
Financing of projects is aimed at diversifying country's economy, supporting and stimulating the production of goods of medium and high redistributions, developing infrastructure, as well as helping to attract investments to the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Among the projects supported by the Fund:
1) A project for the production of passenger buses, quarry, construction and road special equipment of the Yutong brand at QazTehna plant
- production capacity of the plant - up to 1500 units of passenger buses, up to 1000 units of special equipment annually;
- localization level - 32%;
- 644 new jobs created.
2) A project to increase the production capacity of the factory for the production of porcelain stoneware and ceramic tiles Zerde-Ceramica LLP
- plant was commissioned in 2021
- total area - 15 hectares;
- production capacity of the plant - 5 million square meters per year.
3) A project for modernization and expansion of production at Shin-Line plant
- plant was launched in 2004;
- product range - more than 140 types of products;
- production capacity of the plant by 2027 - 350 tons of products.
4) A project for the construction of a plant for the organization of a full cycle of production of Hyundai passenger cars
- plant was commissioned in 2021;
- production capacity of the plant - 50 thousand vehicles per year.
5) A project for the production of solid-rolled railway wheels at the Prommashkomplekt plant
- plant was commissioned in 2018;
- production capacity of the plant - up to 300,000 wheels per year.
6) A project for the production of household appliances at the Silk Road Electronics factory
- production capacity of the plant - 50 thousand vehicles per year;
- more than 1,100 new jobs have been created.
7) Launch of a Localization center for the production of components for agricultural and commercial machinery at the Agromashholding KZ plant
- total area of the plant - 36,000 square meters;
- production capacity - more than 25 thousand units of units and components.
With the support of the Industrial Development Fund, projects are also being implemented for the production of automotive products from cast iron, automobile tires, building materials, as well as projects in the field of food, chemical industry and others.
