EDB together with JSC "IDF" intend to implement projects of the healthcare system of the RK

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and JSC "Industrial Development Fund" (IDF) signed a cooperation agreement to implement projects for the development of the healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the purchase of ambulances in the amount of 10 billion tenge. The Agreement on cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Congress was signed by Amangeldy Isenov, Deputy Chairman of the EDB Board, and Zhanar Ibrasheva, Deputy Chairman of the IDF Board.

In accordance with the document, the parties intend to cooperate within the framework of the State Program for the Development of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2025 dated December 26, 2019 No. 982 in order to improve the quality of medical care and sustainable development of the healthcare system in the republic.

"In carrying out our investment activities, we pay special attention to the development of the economies of the EDB member countries, as well as the development of healthcare, compliance with the principles of social and environmental responsibility. The Industry Development Fund is a leading financial operator of financial leasing and through its activities contributes to the implementation of the industrial and innovation policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, develops the potential of entrepreneurship, in particular, finances projects that have a socio-economic effect. The EDB supports such initiatives and is ready to provide the necessary assistance to the development of healthcare in the Bank's member countries," said Amangeldy Isenov, Deputy Chairman of the EDB Management Board.

"Within the framework of this agreement, it is planned to ensure the purchase of ambulances in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the expense of IDF and EDB funds," said Zhanar Ibrasheva, Deputy Chairman of the IDF Board.
